August

August turned out to be a pretty busy month. Jeff spent a week in Florida during Tropical Storm Fay. Darla learned how to get back and forth to the International Airport in Frankfurt. Tori and Jordan were playing hard as usual.
A few days ago we went and found our first geocache 'treasure' since we arrived. The site is called "Forest Trail" and is on the mountain just behind our apartment. If you look at the picture, there is a totem pole and a table that is carved like a bald eagle. The wings of the eagle form the table top.

Tori had a Princess Party and earned her first patch for girl scouts. We are waiting for the different troops to be formed so we can pick a troop that works around the rest of her schedule. She starts kindergarten tomorrow, gymnastics next week, and ballet the week after. She is going to be one busy little girl.

Jordan has been eating dirt, playing with the water hose, riding 4-wheelers, pestering dad, and helping mom clip her flowers in the garden. She is looking forward to 'mom-time' while dad is at work and Tori is in school.
Mom's birthday is the next big event and Tori and Jordan already picked out mom's birthday card and present. We just have to keep them hidden for a while until its time to give them to her.
