2007 Holidays

Tori and Jordan had a blast for Halloween. Both dressed up as a Princess and went trick-or-treating with mom while dad stayed home and handed out candy. After trick or treating was done, Tori help dad hand out candy to a few more kids who came by the house. Tori also helped carve some pumkins which turned out pretty good and painted a pumpkin at school.

After Halloween, we invited our international student we are sponsoring from Ghana over for Thanksgiving dinner. He brought a traditional African soup with him called "Peanut Soup" although there are no peanuts in the ingredients. The soup was very, very spicy. So spicy that Darla couldn't eat it and Jeff only ate about 3/4 a bowl before he couldn't eat anymore either. Kofi Amissah-Mensah seemed to enjoy some of the American food we had and asked lots of questions about how the Thanksgiving holiday started many years ago. The day after Thanksgiving, we started putting out Christmas decorations.

Tori and Jordan both had fun putting up the Christmas Tree. Jordan likes to take the colored silk balls off the tree and throw them like a baseball. They both like to play with their stockings too. Dad has been giving Tori a hard time about Santa Claus not coming to our house because we don't have a chimney but Mom stepped in to stop the concern by telling Tori that we are going to Grandma's house for Christmas and that Grandma has a chimney so Santa will be able to leave some toys.

Jordan has been in a fighting mood lately and likes to try Karate on Dad. Here is a picture of her just before she went after Dad trying to hit him. After she hits him, she thinks its so funny that sometimes she falls down while laughing.

I love the girls in their costumes. And the karate pictures of Jordan cracked me up.
